BRSC Announces Personnel Changes and Reorganization

by BR Soccer | Aug 03, 2016

Baton Rouge Soccer is excited to announce the shifting of some existing personnel within our organization and a restructuring of our leadership and management structure.

“BRSC continues to be forward thinking in how we can better serve our existing membership as well as grow the game of soccer in the Baton Rouge area. The reorganization of our staff and hiring of two staff members in to full-time roles within the club will help us to better achieve our mission of providing quality soccer programming for the Baton Rouge area,” said Bo Cassidy, BRSC Executive Director.

Brenna Perez, who has coached in the BRSC Academy program, competitive program and camps for several years, has been named to the role of Adult Director. Brenna will oversee and manage all BRSC Adult Leagues, including our Coed, Men’s, and Women’s offerings. Perez is a Baton Rouge native who played for University Laboratory School. She began her coaching career as a Goalkeeper Coach for the 1998 state championship team at her alma mater.  She has administrative experience within BRSC in the Academy and Futsal programs, as well as in the private sector. Perez holds a USSF National ‘E’ Coaching License.  She has played in the BRSC adult program for many years. “I believe my experience playing in the BRSC Adult Leagues gives me a unique perspective of how we can grow the league and add value for our membership,” Perez said.

Kiran Booluck will transition from a part-time position within BRSC to becoming the first Outreach Director at BRSC. This new position will focus on growing BRSC’s community-based programming, such as After-School programs and TOPSoccer, as well as managing our satellite campuses in Zachary, Central, and Independence Park. Booluck came to BRSC after three years at CABOSA/Shreveport United. He has coached numerous competitive teams, is an assistant for the boys varsity program at St. Amant High School, and a head coach in the Louisiana Olympic Development Program. “When I came to the United States, my start in coaching was in after-school programs. I am passionate about using that experience along with my passion for impacting the lives of youth through soccer to grow and improve our Outreach programs at BRSC,” noted Booluck about his new role as Outreach Director.

Miles Vaughn, who has served as the Director of Development for the past two years at BRSC, will transition into a new role as the BRSC Director of Soccer Operations. In this new role, Vaughn will oversee and manage day-to-day operation of all soccer programming offered by BRSC, including 3-Year-Old, Recreational, Academy, Competitive, and Adult programming. In his two years as the Director of Development, Vaughn has managed all sponsorship efforts and fundraising events at BRSC. “I believe my past leadership and management experiences, as well as the relationships I have built in the past two years with both our staff and membership, will allow me to push us further towards achieving our mission of making sure that we are offering truly exceptional programming for all members,” said Vaughn.

Prior to joining the full-time staff Vaughn taught for four years in Baton Rouge schools both in the public sector as a Teach For America corps member and in the private sector at Catholic High. Vaughn spent a year abroad through the Fulbright Program as a professor at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia, and holds a Masters in Educational Leadership from LSU.
