BRSC Volunteers and Staff Win State-Wide LSA Awards

by BR Soccer | Aug 09, 2016
Three members of BRSC were recognized for their outstanding work and volunteerism this past weekend at the Louisiana Soccer Association Annual General Meeting.

Lisa Presedo was selected as the LSA Volunteer of the Year for the state of Louisiana. Lisa has served as a team manager for several years in the BRSC Competitive program and has volunteered countless hours at both BRSC tournaments such as United Cup and Red Stick, as well as at larger tournaments such as the 2014 USYS Region III Championships in Baton Rouge.

Shirley Moraes was selected as the LSA TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year for the state of Louisiana. Shirley has volunteered at every TOPSoccer event in the past year, pairing up with children with mental and/or physical disabilities to make sure that soccer and physical activity are accessible to them. Her dedication to the program and work with the participants has been outstanding and unwavering.

Kay Briggs was selected as the LSA Administrator of the Year for the state of Louisiana. Kay not only handles all of our competitive program administrative duties, but also assists with administrative duties in all of our other soccer programs. Kay also provides invaluable support in our fundraising activities, organizes volunteers for tournaments, and spends many nights and weekends at the fields making sure our programming runs as smoothly as possible.

BRSC would like to thank each of these three women, and all of our volunteers and staff, for the work they do to ensure a positive experience for BRSC players and families.
