Director of Coaching & Jr. Competitve Boys Director
Marvin Smith is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. He came to US on a soccer scholarship to Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Human Performance and Kinesiology. Smith adds great knowledge, playing and coaching experience to our club. As a college player he was a three-time All-District and an All-American player. Smith was also a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Under -17 National Team and played with the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) first division club Arima United and second division club Bennifica. Smith’s coaching experience includes: Head Women’s, Men’s Assistant Coach, Huntingdon College; Director of Coaching, Attack Soccer Club; Head Coach/Player, Alabama Saints – Professional Development League (PDL); Alabama and Louisiana Olympic Developmental Program (ODP) staff coach. Smith holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Premier Diploma, United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “A” License and National Youth License. He is also the NSCAA State Technical Coordinator for Louisiana as well as a USSF and NSCAA national instructor. Smith is joined by his wife Camillia and son Michael.
Director of Coaching - Seniors, Jr. Competitive Girls Director
Willie Davis, a native of Falls Church, Virginia but grew up through-out the United States and Germany due to his father’s military service. Willie went on to compete for three years at the University of Louisiana Lafayette while pursing his Pre-Law degree. Willie went on to play one season with the Lafayette Lightning PDL team before turning his efforts to coaching full time. His coaching experience includes: Founder/Director of the Rage Futbol Club in Lafayette Louisiana in 1998. 2001 State Championship Coach of the Saint Thomas More Boys High School Soccer team. Willie was a Director in Baton Rouge Soccer from 2001-2005 where he helped earn numerous State Championships along with two Region III semifinalist appearances and two Region III quarterfinalist appearances. Willie has been a Louisiana ODP State Staff Coach and is now a part of the Region III ODP staff. Willie currently holds a (USSF) “B” License, as well as a National Youth License. Davis spent four seasons at the Franklin Pierce University where he was the Assistant Men’s Soccer coach as well as the Head Men’s/Women’s Tennis Coach. In two of those seasons, Davis helped lead the Franklin Pierce Ravens Soccer team to the Division II NCAA National Championship game (2005 &2007) where the team was crowned Division II National Champions in 2007. Willie also was an Assistant Coach for the LSU Women’s Soccer team and is the current Director of Soccer for the Dunham School. Willie and his wife Eva are proud parents of their two daughters Syrianna and Milania.
Academy Director & Competitive Coach
Adam will serve as the Director of the BRSC Academy program for players U7-U9. He previously has served as an Academy Director with the Eastern Football Club in Bedford, NY, from 2007-2008.Allerton most recently has served as an Assistant Coach for the University of Bridgeport Women’s Soccer team in Bridgeport, CT, where he helped the team reach the NCAA Division II Tournament Second Round in 2013. He has also recently been a Region I Staff Coach with US Youth Soccer and served as the head coach of the Connecticut Football Club United ECNL Under-18 team. He has also served as a Staff Coach with the Connecticut Olympic Development Program. He holds several coaching licenses related to strength and conditioning as well as the NSCAA Advanced National, NSCAA Goalkeeper II License, and the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.
Recreational Director & Competitive Coach
Josh McReynolds, a native of Zachary, LA, joins the staff at BRSC with a strong coaching pedigree having worked with the LSU Soccer program for the last two years where he served as the Director of Operations from 2012-2014. In this role, he spearheaded the day-to-day operation of the LSU Soccer program . Prior to working with LSU McReynolds worked for a one-season stint as the men’s soccer assistant coach at Albion College in Albion, Michigan. McReynolds spent time with BRSC working as the Under-8 Academy Director in the spring of 2012. He played collegiately at Freed-Hardeman University and holds a USSF National B License, National Youth License, NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, and the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. He graduated in December 2014 with his MBA from the LSU Flores MBA Program where he received the Ben Brown Award for outstanding leadership and commitment to improving the overall program experience.
Director of Soccer Operations & Competitive Coach
Miles Vaughn, native of Grapevine, Texas, joins the full-time staff having spent time coaching in both the Academy and Competitive programs at BRSC. Vaughn played collegiately at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where he was team captain and voted as the Most Valuable Player his senior year. Vaughn holds a USSF National B License as well as the NSCAA Advanced National with Distinguished Pass. He was also named as an Associate Staff Coach with the NSCAA. Prior to joining the full-time staff Vaughn taught for four years in Baton Rouge schools both in the public sector as a Teach For America corps member and in the private sector at Catholic High. He served as a Learning Team Leader for Teach For America, providing professional development for forty secondary math teachers and as an Administrative Intern at Catholic High. Vaughn spent a year abroad through the Fulbright Program as a professor at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia. He graduated with a Masters in Educational Leadership from LSU in May 2015.
Adult Director & Competitive Coach
Brenna Perez is a native of Baton Rouge where she grew up playing for BRSA/BRSC. She enjoyed a successful prep career at University Laboratory School where she began her coaching career as the Goalkeeper Coach for the 1998 state championship team. She began her BRSC coaching career as an Academy Staff coach, in addition to her position with BRSC, she is the Assistant Varsity Women’s Coach at Episcopal High School and a Physical Education teacher. She currently holds a United States Soccer Federation “E” License, National Federation of High Schools Fundamentals of Coaching certification and a NSCAA Level 1 Diploma. She is married and has two children that play for BRSC in the Academy and Competitive programs. As a coach, she strives to provide a healthy competitive environment for her players that promotes skill development, provides a clear understanding of the principles of play, and encourages teamwork.
Outreach Director & Competitive Coach
Coach Kiran Booluck is originally from London, England. He graduated from Southampton Solent University with a bachelors of honors degree in Football (soccer) Studies. He then moved to the USA, working for Challengers Sports. He worked in the northern states before moving to Dallas, Texas. From there he eventually moved to Shreveport, LA. In Shreveport he worked for CABOSA/Shreveport United for 3 Years and was the head coach for older teams along with heading up the girls academy program. In July 2015 Coach Kiran moved to Baton Rouge. Since then he has been the head coach for U12 Maroon, U13 Maroon and U14 Girls Red Teams. Along with being a full time staff coach he is also the assistant at St Amant High School on the boys program. Coach Kiran is also the 2000 Girls Olympic Development Program (ODP) Head Coach for Louisiana.
Coach Kiran currently has a UEFA B license along with numerous NSCAA Licenses and certifications including his Director of Coaching Diploma and Goal keeping qualifications.
Doug grew up in Owensboro, KY where he played club and high school soccer. He also played for his Air Force base team while stationed in Germany. After moving to Louisiana, he began coaching for the Gonzales Soccer Club as a recreational coach and then as a developmental and competitive coach. He served as an assistant coach for the East Ascension girls' soccer team from 2009-2011. Doug came to BRSC in the fall of 2012 and he currently holds a USSF D License.
Coach Josh has obtained his E License and D license through the USSF. He won two state championships as a player in high school for Jesuit and played competitive soccer his whole life. He have been with the club since 2014 and coached with our academy staff alongside Academy Director Adam Allerton, worked in the U10s program with Marvin Smith, and worked with the U12s under Age Group Director Miles Vaughn. He currently coaches at Catholic High School and has coached our U12 Boys Red team.
Roger Chapcap is one of our outstanding young coaches. He is originally from Baton Rouge and grew up playing soccer for the Baton Rouge United Club, BRSC, Cajun Soccer Club, Redemptorist High School and Louisiana College. Chapcap’s coaching experience includes: 2005- 2007 Zachary High School Assistant Coach, 2007-2009 Parkview Baptist Head Coach, 2008-present BRSC Head coach for our U16 Girls and Boys Black team, 2008-present BRSC Developmental Coach. Chapcap holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advance Regional Diploma. Chapcap is a teacher at Parkview High School.
Coach Adam moved to the Baton Rouge area summer of 2015 after serving for two years as a missionary in Haiti. He grew up in the Atlanta area, playing in the USSF Development Academy (the highest possible level of play for youth players), 4 years for Starr's Mill High School, and played at Point University in Georgia for two years before moving to Haiti. Adam has served as a coach in the BRSC Academy program, After School program, and as an assistant on the 04 Boys Black for the 2015-2016 season. He was the Varsity Assistant and Head JV Coach for the Episcopal High School Boys’ soccer program for the 2015-2016 season. He is now the Head Varsity Coach at Zachary High School.
Coach Adrian has been coaching club soccer for 15 years and has spent the last 2 with BRSC. After graduating from college, he played and coached in Auckland, New Zealand for a season. Coach Adrian has 12 years of high school coaching experience including the last 9 at St. Amant high school. He holds a USSF D License.
Christina played collegiately for Arkansas State University from 2011-2013 where she was voted the team Offensive Player of the Year for the 2012 season. She set the school record for most game-winning goals in a season, earned Sunbelt Player of the Week honors and was selected to the Sunbelt Conference First Team by College Sports Madness. She played her club career in Mississippi for JFC, Chicago Fire Juniors, and an alliance team with BRSC and won 3 state cup championships. She was also a member of the MS ODP team. She started coaching at BRSC in the Spring of 2016 as an assistant on the U14 girls black team that won the GSPL Final Four tournament and the U16 girls black team that won State Cup. She also coached the U14 team to a MS Spring Tournament win. She holds a national E coaching license.
Paul Fletcher grew up in Central America (Panama, Canal Zone). He played soccer in high school for Cristobal High School. He coached his first soccer team while in 11th grade. He has coached with BRSA/BRSC since 1995 and has been coaching for BRSC since 2010. Paul led his u-18 boys team, Bullgators, to the State Cup. His U12 Maroon BRSC team was a state finalist in the 2012 State Cup. He coached for St. Amant High School and has coached for both the boys and girls soccer teams at St. Michael High School since 2005. He is currently the Head Coach for the St. Michael High School Boys Team and coaches the BRSC 00 Boys Maroon. Paul holds a USSF National "D" license.
Jennifer Kennedy Franklin
Jennifer Kennedy Franklin joined our BRSC staff in the fall of 2008. She enjoyed an illustrious intercollegiate playing career at University of North Carolina – Greensboro, where she was named to the All-Conference team for three years, All- Tournament team, and team captain her senior year. She also played in the W-league for the Piedmont Spark/Greensboro Twisters for 8 years and for an amateur team who received 2nd place in Nationals held in Seattle (2007). She also participated in the North Carolina ODP as a youth player. Franklin’s coaching experience includes: Club coach for Winston Salem Twins and Greensboro Twisters. She was also the Head Coach for Northwest Guilford, HS where she received conference Coach of The Year and Regional Coach of The Year honors in 2007. She currently coaches our BRSC 00 red and 01 maroon girls’ teams. Franklin is a teacher at Greenbrier Elementary and coaches High School Soccer at St. Michael's High School. She holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “D” License. Last year she won the state championship with the u-14 black team.
Sean grew up playing soccer in Baton Rouge. He has coached at the Recreational, Developmental and Competitive levels. Sean currently holds a USSF D license, NSCAA Regional, Advanced Regional, National and National Youth. Sean has coached youth from U5 to U14. Sean worked as the assistant coach with our 02 Boys Black team as they were State Champions as U12, and State Finalist as U13s. Currently, he is an assistant coach with the U14 Black Boys.
Ray Linton is a native of Southern NJ where he played club soccer for the Willingboro Soccer Club, and also at John F Kennedy HS, gaining Burlington County Liberty League honors his Jr and Sr year. He played collegiately at Washington College in Chestertown, MD for three years until injuries cut short his career, gaining All-Centennial Conference honors as a Sophomore. After coaching in both NJ and MD, Ray moved to Gonzales, LA in 1992 where he eventually became a coach and subsequently the President of the Gonzales Soccer Club, a post he held for 7 years. Ray coached the Boys Varsity at East Ascension HS from 1994-1998, and then the Boys Varsity at St Amant HS from 2004-2008, earning NSCAA LA Large School State Coach of the Year awards in 2006 and 2007. In 2013, Ray started the Boys Varsity HS program at Ascension Christian HS where he coaches today. Ray holds a USSF National D license and an NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma. Ray won a state title with GSC U14 Tsunami in 2006. Ray joined the Baton Rouge Soccer Club in 2012, coaching both older and younger boys. While with BRSC, Ray has seen his teams play for three state titles, winning one with 96 Black in 2014. Last year Ray coached the 02 Boys Red to an LCSL Comp 2 League Championship, and a state finals appearance. Ray has a son, Bohdi, who plays in the 01 age category at BRSC.
Miguel played high school soccer at East Ascension High School for four years. He then played collegiately in Mississippi for two years before transferring to the University of West Alabama, where he played for two years. Miguel has coached competitively at the Gonzales Soccer Club and at the high school level. He currently plays in the Louisiana Premier League and holds a USSF E License.
Fred is an alum of BRSC, playing with the club's competitive program from his U11 - U18 years. He then moved on to play collegiately for Division II Lander University where he was a Peach Belt Conference Champion. After playing at Lander, Fred played two seasons with the Baton Rouge Capitals of the Professional Development League and one year with the NOLA Jesters. Fred currently serves as the Assistant Boys Varsity coach at Runnels High School as well as being the head coach of the Junior Varsity team. The 2016-17 year will be Fred's fifth year as a coach with BRSC. Coach Fred holds a USSF D License.
Courtnie Prather joined the BRSC Goalkeeping staff in Spring 2011. Prather is currently the Head Coach of Women's Soccer at Southern University. Prather is also a member of the Region III ODP Goalkeeper Coaching Staff. Prior to coming to Southern University, she was the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Coach at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. She was also the Director of Goalkeeping for the Hattiesburg Futbol Club. Prather has a Masters Degree in child & adolescent psychology and holds a USSF ‘D’ coaching license as well as an NSCAA Level I,II, and III goalkeeper diplomas.
Pablo Presedo grew up in Baton Rouge and played soccer through high school. He began his BRSC coaching career as a staff coach in the Developmental League as Head Coach of the team Attack. Pablo holds a “D” License, a USSF National Youth License and the NSCAA Regional & Advanced Regional diploma. He is currently the Head coach of the U10 Girls BRSC Black team and was the Assistant Coach of the Episcopal High Boys soccer team last year. In addition, Pablo is a referee for our association. Outside of being a coach and referee, he has volunteered countless hours for BRSC sponsored tournaments and events. Pablo ran track at Baton Rouge High School & still holds state records, he ran track and cross country at LSU and is still on the all time Outdoor LSU list for 10,000m. Pablo lives in Baton Rouge with his wife Lisa and his children Steffi & Natalie.
Philip Silverman grew up playing soccer right here in Baton Rouge, completing his playing career at the Under-23 select level(currently called PDL). This season will be his 25th year coaching. He has coached all ages, both boys and girls at a variety of clubs both big and small. He currently holds his USSF National C license and his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Philip has been a staff coach for the Louisiana ODP program for the past 6 years. Currently, he is the head coach of the ODP Louisiana boys 2004 team. In the past he has coached every age group from under 6 to high school for both club and school.
Goalkeeper Staff Coach
Native of Baton Rouge. Grew up playing in goal for BRSA, BR Jags, GSA, and BRSC. High school soccer at Bishop Sullivan in 2003/04, at Woodlawn High School 2004-2007. All District & All-Metro at both schools. College soccer for the Crusaders from 2007-2010 at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. All-Conference and All-Region teams & Rookie of the Year Freshman year. Started coaching with BRSC in 2011. Third season as assistant/goalkeeper coach at Southern University of Baton Rouge. Has coached keepers to the All-Conference and All-SWAC Tournament teams in the past 2 years. USSF D License and Level III Goalkeeping License.
Natalie played collegiately for Northwestern State University from 2003-2007, where she was team captain for the Lady Demons from 2005-2007. She was named All-SLC first team in 2003, All-SLC second team in 2004 & 2007, and received the Sportsmanship of the Year award in 2006. She was also the recipient of the Hall of Fame award for outstanding female athlete in Health and Human Performance. She has experience working with Genesis Soccer Club, Gonzales Soccer Club, Baton Rouge Soccer Club and also OPD. Waguespack attended Redemptorist High School where she received 1st team All-District, 1st team All-Metro, 1st team All-State honors and was named the 2003 All-District MVP and All-Metro Offense MVP. She has worked as the Varsity assistant coach at Dutchtown High School since 2010. She is in the process of completing her "D" License..
